Drake/Peanut

SOLD. This is a wood burning commission that I did of a beautiful grulla horse named Drake. He was done on a piece of live edge poplar wood, with the dimensions being 8x10. This piece was very fun to wood burn, and I used a white colored pencil to add his white star on his forehead.

This horse was born wild in Sand Wash Basin, and people referred to him as Peanut until the time of him being rounded up. Through the adoption events held by the BLM, his lovely owner was able to adopt him, and then renamed him Drake.

This specific wood burning was using a reference picture that the customer got permission to use from the photographer who took it of Drake while he was still a wild stallion living in Sand Wash Basin.
