First Wood Burning

This was my first ever wood burning! I did it on red oak wood, just to dip my toes into the hobby and see if it is something I would enjoy. It turns out red oak was not a good wood for wood burning due to how hard it is, and the open grain, but I am glad I experimented! The first picture also shows my very first wood burner, which I quickly swapped out for a more refined pyrography tool.

I will forever keep this piece since it is the one that started it all.
